Keeping bees and harvesting honey in the High Rockies is no easy feat, but our friends at Tabernash Honey Company happily accept the challenge. With close to 300 hives, they devote themselves to caring for their bees in all kinds of weather conditions (like the snowstorms that just rolled through in late May!) because they are able to produce honey that is not only healthy and flavorful but also uniquely local to Grand County.
Driving through Winter Park on Highway 40 might leave you doing a double take and asking yourself, "Was that there before?"
