Treat Yourself at One of Our Local Spas!

Grand County is home to some of the best outdoor recreation in the country. Known for our downhill skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, and snowmobiling in the winter and biking, hiking, fishing, and boating in the summer, the old "time flies when you're having fun" adage rings true when you're playing outside in the Fraser Valley. While the opportunities to take advantage of all nature has to offer bring people here, our little valley has so much more to offer: dining, art, festivals, and spas complement the mountain experience. If a little relaxing and rejuvenating speaks to you, then be sure to check out our local spas after a long day on the mountain (or curled up inside by the fire, soaking in the views). Either way, a little time at the spa is a great way to end (or start!) your day.

BLUE SKY MASSAGE

A local favorite, Blue Sky Massage was voted by the community as the best massage and the best spa in town in 2022's Best of Grand. They offer a full range of massage therapy, skin care, and body therapy. It's location on Main Street in Winter Park makes it easy to access and ideal for an après ski treatment. Owners Tim and Karen Givens are longtime locals who care deeply about our community and their work. The Blue Sky Massage experience is evidence of their passion: you're sure to find high-quality treatments and top-notch customer service should you visit their spa.

ROOT SALON

In the heart of Granby, Root Salon brings the quality of a "big city" experience to our little mountain community. They offer so much more than hair services: get a spray tan, facial, wax, or lashes in an inviting environment that manages to find the perfect balance between small-town quaint and sleek and polished. The team there is highly knowledgable, so friendly, and ready to help you unwind. Having these services in Granby has been a welcome addition to the community and is definitely worth making the drive over from the Winter Park area!

HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS RESORT & SPA

Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa is nestled in Byers Canyon just off Main Street in eponymous Hot Sulphur Springs. Their natural hot springs were once frequented by the Ute and Arapaho Native Americans who dubbed the warm waters "Big Medicine." They definitely knew what they were talking about: their fifteen mineral indoor and outdoor pools and baths can be medicine for the body and mind. One-hundred percent natural and gravity fed, they leave your body feeling soft and refreshed (due in large part to the sulfate in the water--the smell isn't for everyone's taste, but the benefits for your body and skin are pretty amazing). And bonus--soaking in the pools is complimentary on the day of a spa treatment! Their spa offers hot stone, deep tissue, and relaxing massages and unique add-ons like "Rain-Drop Therapy." You can book online or call to make your reservation.

Alpenglow Massage

Right at the base of Winter Park Resort in the village, Alpenglow Massage makes it easy to pop in to treat yourself before or after your day at the mountain. It's super convenient if you're staying at the base of the ski area, and they definitely know how to get your body back in shape to get back out there again the next day. Locally owned and operated, Alpenglow greets you with the hospitality of a small-town and the expertise of a metropolis. With easy online booking and prime location, taking care of yourself and your body is a breeze.

GATHER COLLECTIVE

If you haven't been to the little yellow house next to Sharky's in Fraser, we recommend swinging by to check out the collective of experiences offered at the quaint and convenient location. You'll be greeted by the cozy coffee shop, Simple Coffee Company, as you walk in the door, and upstairs is home to a Breath Co., Grand Pearl Wellness, and Inner Peace Massage. Your one stop shop for a sustainably-sourced cup of coffee, yoga and meditation, skin care services, and massage, Gather Collective is one-of-a-kind in Grand County.

MOUNTAIN SOUL WELLNESS

Grand Lake boasts a whole-body experience at Mountain Soul Wellness right on Main Street. Located next to the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater, Mountain Soul is committed to body work and meditation. Services like hot stone massages, medicupping, sound baths, and deep tissue massages are their specialty. Be sure to check them out if you're in the Grand Lake area!

LODGING GUEST-ONLY SPAS

Two of our favorite Grand County spas only serve overnight guests: Ranch Creek Spa at Devil's Thumb Ranch and Lazy U Spa at C Lazy U Ranch both offer complete spa services in a luxury setting. Massages, facials, soaks, wraps, and scrubs with all the stops pulled to give you the best experience (with million-dollar views) are the norm at these two spas. It might just make it worth booking a stay or two so you can take advantage of their world-class services.
