And living just outside downtown Winter Park, while still within town limits, gives you that peaceful mountain retreat feel while still being a quick walk or bike ride to Main Street and its restaurants, shopping, and calendar full of (primarily free) events. From Main Street to the Mountain: Winter Park's Town-to-Resort Gondola Moves Forward

It's easy to see why Winter Park’s prime location (a quick drive from Denver and nestled in the stunning Fraser Valley) makes it an ideal place to call home as well as a favorite for Front Range skiers and vacationers looking for a mountain getaway close to the airport. And if you’ve spent any time here lately, you know the secret’s out: Winter Park is one of the best places to ski (and recreate in all seasons) in Colorado and the country! With all the growth in all the places, our cozy mountain town has held onto its small-town charm and that “get-away-from-it-all” feeling despite an understandable surge in popularity.

The cooler temps, bluebird skies, changing leaves, and the hint of snow in the air give us some of the best of Grand County. Trails ready to hike and ride, lakes and rivers prime to fish, summer crowds dissipating, and fun events still in full force, the changing of the seasons here in the Fraser Valley is a true gift every September and October.

Uptripping Art Gallery Brings an Eclectic Mix of Modern Mountain Art, Furnishings, Clothes + More to the Fraser Valley

When you walk in the door, it's clear this isn't your run-of-the-mill art gallery. The funky, whimsical vibe makes a visit to Uptripping so much more than a shopping trip - we'd consider it more of an experience. Think of it as an art gallery meets eclectic boutique meets the-perfect-last-minute-gift stop. You'll find art from local artists, each with their unique style and take on modern mountain art, alongside original works by village chiefs from Kenya, children in Nepal, and at-risk women in Kyrgyzstan. Racks of artistically embroidered denim shirts, Free People fleece bib overalls, and colorful thick knit cardigans will…

Soak in the Last Days of Summer over Labor Day Weekend in Winter Park!

As we close in on September, we know fall and all its glory is around the corner. The days are getting shorter, and if you're looking closely, you'll see yellow leaves replacing the summer green here and there. Labor Day weekend typically marks the unofficial end of summer: school starts, weekly seasonal events come to an end, and local businesses adjust their hours of operation as we settle into a slower pace here in Grand County.

But if you're in town over the holiday, there are still plenty of events and outdoor opportunities to close out the summer season! We really think Labor Day weekend doesn't get much better than it does in Grand County. This year, the long…
