So mark your calendars, costume up, and hit the town for Halloween 2024!

SUN OUTDOORS PUMPKIN PATCH

Saturday, October 12:  11am-3pm

Kick off Halloween at Sun Outdoors! While it is a popular Grand County camping destination, the sprawling property on the corner of Highway 40 and Highway 34 in Granby offers so much more with a fun, relaxing atmosphere for a fall celebration. Their annual pumpkin patch is fun for all ages. Pick your perfect pumpkin from the bountiful patch, indulge in delicious fall-themed treats and beverages at the sweet treats table, dress up in your favorite costume and enter the costume contest, enjoy a leisurely horse-drawn hayride around the property, browse handmade crafts at the craft fair, get your face painted, and test your skills in the corn hole tournament. They'll even have live music by local-favorite Hang Time from 2-5pm. Sun Outdoors has a fun playground and plenty of open space, so the kids can play all afternoon!

GRANBY MAIN STREET TRICK-OR-TREAT

Friday, October 25: 4-6pm

Kick off Halloween weekend with a family-favorite evening of trick-or-treating in the heart of Granby. Businesses up and down Main Street will be ready for trick or treaters! The Visitor's Center is always the hub of the action, with snacks and a photo booth welcoming your crew for Halloween fun! And be sure to dress for the occasion -you never know what Grand County weather will bring in the fall. It's not uncommon for Halloween costumes to be complemented with puffy jackets and beanies. So bundle up and hit the "Main" street. We love the small-town vibe of this annual event - it's a true picture of our beautiful community as we come together to celebrate.

GRAND LAKE GHOSTS + GOURDS GATHERING

Saturday, October 26: 12-4pm

Head over to Grand Lake's Town Park for a day of fun! The Ghost and Gourds Gathering is a free community event. Explore the free pumpkin patch, get in the spirit with face painting, paint pumpkins, and enter the costume contest. All the activities at the park will be followed by trick-or-treating at businesses on the boardwalk. Just look for a pumpkin in the window to know which businesses are participating.  They'll even have free caricature drawings by artist Stan Yan.  Enjoy the quaint town of Grand Lake in the beauty of the fall season! You could even end the afternoon with a drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park - there's a chance the elk might still be bugling

COOPER CREEK SQUARE HALLOWEEN BASH

Saturday, October 26: 4-6pm

We'll be ready for you at our West + Main Grand County office on the second floor of Cooper Creek Square during this year's Halloween Bash! Stop by for some candy, a drink, and to say hi as you make the rounds with your kiddos (or let them make the rounds while you hang out with us!). We always love this local-favorite event, and having an office in the heart of it makes it even better. The businesses in Cooper Creek go big for the event every year, with a seemingly endless flow of candy ready for trick-or-treaters in the intimate, safe environment right in downtown Winter Park. And the spooky photo booth and DJ dance party just add to the energy! After the treat bags are full and the last song plays, it's easy to grab dinner at one of Cooper Creek's restaurants.

HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS PIONEER VILLAGE TRICK-OR-TREAT,  TOWN PARADE + COURTHOUSE TRUNK-OR-TREAT

Sunday, October 27: 3:30-6pm

Celebrate the spooky season in Hot Sulphur Springs! Enjoy crafts and trick-or-treating at the Pioneer Village Museum from 1-3:30pm before you join the town parade in costume at 3:30. Be sure to meet at the post office if you'd like to be a part of the parade! Then head over to the Courthouse parking lot for trunk-or treating with the sheriff's office and other first responders from 4-6pm.

DOWNTOWN FRASER TRICK-OR-TREAT

Thursday, October 31: 5-7pm

If you're looking for that door-to-door trick-or-treating experience, our go-to is the Old Town Fraser neighborhood. Just to the west of Highway 40 in the heart of Fraser, the houses in this quaint little Fraser neighborhood always go big for Halloween. And they always celebrate on Halloween proper, so you keep the party going by spending October 31st cruising the neighborhood, ringing doorbells, collecting candy, and checking out the over-the-top decorations. We recognize that our expansive, rural community doesn't necessarily lend itself to the neighborhood trick-or-treating you might find in the suburbs, but we think our little downtown Fraser celebration makes trick-or-treating a memorable experience for all!

HAUNTED TRAIN: MOFFAT ROAD RAILROAD MUSEUM

Thursday, October 31: 4:30-7:30PM

Granby loves to celebrate holidays! From the free community Easter egg hunt to a visit from Santa and his reindeer at Christmas, the museum prides itself on being a place where the community can gather. On Halloween night, the 1905 Passenger Coach transforms into a spooky, creaky railcar, complete with ghouls and goblins. The haunted train is designed for brave 5 year olds and up, but trick or treating is available for all ages throughout the museum's grounds. Cost is $4 (cash only) per person.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We hope you get to enjoy Halloween in the mountains this year! It's always fun to see the community come together and celebrate. Always feel free to reach out about any questions about our community - we'd love to share our love of this place and point you in the right direction should you be looking for local informationresources, or events
