Habitat for Humanity of Grand County Partners with Families to Provide Affordable Homes in Our Backyard

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization with a clear vision: living in a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our local branch has been investing in the Grand County community and putting that vision into action since 1999. We all know the real estate market across the country can make the dream of owning a home daunting, specifically for those with incomes well below the median for the area. And Grand County is no different. We are so grateful Habitat for Humanity of Grand County is actively addressing the need. Since its inception, they have built 13 homes in 24 years, and they have no plans of stopping!

Big Snows, Bluebird Days + A Calendar Full of Events Make Winter Park Your Go-to for Celebrating Spring Mountain-Style

Spring might mean daffodils and tank tops in other parts of the country. Here in Grand County, we live it up with après skis on a patio or soaking in the view of the "Bear Claw" while kick backed in a sun chair outside Lunch Rock. But we might be wearing tank tops (and snow pants) if that mountain sun is hitting just right!

Spring in the high country is about as good as it gets. As we thaw out from winter, the enthusiasm for getting on the mountain and enjoying the warmer weather is in the air throughout the valley. Something about the longer days, big snows, and (relatively) balmy 40-degree temperatures brings out the festive…

Exploring the outdoors alongside someone who knows the the terrain, equipment, and tricks of the trade can give you an experience you wouldn't be able to have on your own. Guides have…

The committed get up (and often drive up) early to get "first chair" on a powder day.
