The Importance of a Local Realtor: Being Present, Involved, and Informed Matters

Just yesterday, someone stopped me in the courtyard below our office in downtown Winter Park to ask me about a coffee shop that sells fudge he’d read about, and I easily directed him toward the new coffee shop by Winter Park’s transit center, The Lift. It’s hard to count the number of times I’ve been asked, “Do you live here?” followed by questions that typically only someone who does can answer: Is this the way to the Blue Sky trailhead? Where’s the best sushi place around here? Is there dispersed camping by that lake? Do you know if there will be any outdoor live music this summer? I’m in the same boat when visiting somewhere new–I seek out locals who know their way around and can (hopefully) share some insider tips on the area.
