It's Officially Golfing Season in the Rockies!
Spring has officially sprung in Grand County when the golf courses start opening for the season! Tee up at one of our four world-class courses with unparalleled scenery: Pole Creek Golf Club, Golf Granby Ranch, Grand Elk, and Grand Lake Golf Course. All open to the public and all within 25 miles of each other, you can even play two different courses in a single day if you're feeling ambitious!
POLE CREEK GOLF CLUB
Consistently voted "Best Mountain Golf Course" with "Best Apres" and in the top three for service and conditions by Colorado Avid Golfer, this course lives up to its accolades. Located in Tabernash, Pole Creek's 27 holes are divided into three distinct courses: The Ranch, the Meadow, and the Ridge. The course design utilizes existing lodgepole pine, valley meadows, sagebrush and a variety of water hazards, creating a diverse experience that appeals to a wide range of golfers. Stop into Bistro 28 for a meal and a drink after your round. We love their patio--it boasts the same mountain views found throughout the course. Pole Creek is set to open for the season Friday, May 20. Book your tee time and enjoy the 360-degree views of the mountains on one of Colorado's best courses!
GOLF GRANBY RANCH
This 18-hole course is nestled along the Fraser River, surrounded by views of the Rocky Mountains. The front nine of this 7,123 par 72 course is designed around native grasses and wetlands while the back nine features elevation changes that provide sweeping views from rolling fairways and greens. Check out their website to reserve a tee time, book a lesson, or buy a season pass. Golf Granby Ranch opens Friday, May 13!
GRAND ELK GOLF CLUB
Grand Elk Golf Club is in the Grand Elk neighborhood of Granby, and it already opened for the season on April 19th! Grand County's only "Heathland" style golf course was inspired by the inland courses of the British Isles. Rolling terrain and natural contours inspire creativity and imagination, yet the course is still family-friendly with its five tee boxes and family tees. Head to The Grille for a bite after your game! Voted "Best Public Colorado Course" by GolfPass, be sure to check it out this season!
GRAND LAKE GOLF COURSE
Grand Lake Golf Course is on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, offering national park-caliber views from every tee of this Dick Phelps-designed course with elevated tee boxes and rolling fairways. You're likely to have a wildlife spectator or two as you tee up in this oasis carved out of the forest. Planning to spend a lot of time in the mountains this season? Check out their season passes that include pass-holder perks and reciprocal rates at all Grand County golf courses. They plan to open May 20, so go ahead and book your tee time! Grand Lake Golf survived the East Troublesome Fire, with only some trees in the back 9 affected--we're so thankful that it remains a place to gather and play in the Grand Lake area!
