Bring your Dancin' Shoes: Grand County's 2023 Summer Music Festivals Are Ready for You!

If you talk to a long-time local, you might hear them say something along the lines of "I came for the winters and stayed for the summers." Summer in Grand County is about as good as it gets. A welcome reprieve from the heat of the Front Range (or really any other part of the country!), our sunshine-filled days and cool air make it easy to enjoy outdoor music all summer long.

Winter ParkGranby, and Grand Lake have a summer full of music festivals planned in 2023 - definitely worth marking on your calendar!

July 1st and August 5th will bring family-friendly, day-long outdoor music right the base of Granby Ranch. The concerts are free to attend: food, drinks, and activities will be available for purchase. Face painters, balloon artists, lawn games, scenic chair lift rides and steer roping practice areas all add to the festivities. They're still hammering out the details for the talent line up each of the two events, but they should have the music schedule up soon!

Keller Williams' Grateful Grass is headlining this year's event, featuring Keith Moseley, Jacob Jolliff, John Mailander, and Pick and Howl (2022 winners of the Rockygrass band competition). Spend your day mountain biking, hiking, or on the lake before heading over the the SolShine concert to finish off a day enjoying all the mountains have to offer in summer.

Troublesome Fest

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

Accurately dubbed "a musical tribute to a resilient community," the third annual Troublesome Fest pays tribute to those affected by the East Troublesome Fire, a tragedy that devastated our community and left so many without homes in the fall of 2020. And yet the outpouring of love, kindness, and generosity for those affected highlighted the beauty in our tight-knit, outwardly focused, and truly kind community. The yearly festival aims to increase and support wildfire recovery, prevention, mitigation, and education. Grand County residents have first-hand knowledge of the need for such efforts, and the whole town (and surrounding towns!) come out to support the cause each year, standing strong as a community in the midst of rebuilding after the fire swept through not even three years ago. An all day event (11am-9pm) held on the picturesque beach of Grand Lake with plenty of fun for the whole family , Troublesome Fest is a tangible example of strong community.
