Do April Right: Celebrate Spring at Winter Park Resort!

As ski season winds down, the resort ramps up the celebration, culminating in an end-of-season month-long party. Each day welcomes ideal spring skiing conditions, and each weekend welcomes a party to accompany your day on the mountain. Be sure to check out Winter Park Resort’s Spring Bash & Splash this April! The enthusiasm on the mountain is infectious, and the events bring fun for all ages. Sun-up to sun-down fun awaits!

Enjoy it all while sampling craft beer at the Beerfest. Week 2

country music Winter Park Resort Spring Bash & Splash 2022Saturday, April 9: Country Bash

Free live music, axe-throwing, and a mechanical bull?! Winter Park Resort knows how to throw a party! All the festivities will be at the base of the Parkside.

Saturday, April 9: Uphill Battle

Sticking with the weekend's country theme, contestants will skin up the mountain in their best country costumes, stopping along the way for poker cards and ending at Sunspot. Prizes for best time, best costume, and best poker hand will be awarded. Skinning up has become increasingly popular in the past few years, so this will be sure to be a popular event. Sign up for the battle or watch the mayhem--either is sure to make for a fun afternoon at the mountain.

Week 3

Saturday, April 16: Retro Bash 90s skiing retro bash

One-piece ski suits, neon colors, and throwback dance moves are sure to abound on this third weekend of Winter Park's Spring Bash & Splash.

12pm: Nothing But Nineties

2pm: Boogie Machine

3:30pm: The Goonies

Week 4

While spring in Grand County doesn't bring 75-degree weather and pool days, this last weekend of events brings a beach-day atmosphere to the snowy Rocky Mountains. Skiers and snowboarders in Hawaiian shirts, hula skirts, and leis pepper the mountain, and the base party has the beach vibes we've all been longing for after a winter full of sub-zero mornings!

Saturday, April 23: Beach Bash

Catch the all-day fun at the base of the Parkside. After a few runs, find a beach chair, listen to some beach music, and grab a fruity drink with an umbrella.

Spring Splash pond skim skier kidSunday, April 24: Spring Splash

Celebrate the Parkside's closing day with a much-loved tradition: Spring Splash. Gliding across an icy pond has marked the end of ski seasons in America since the 1920s. Costumed skiers and snowboarders try their hands at Winter Park's pond skim while the rowdy crowd cheers them on. Adults and kids alike love this event--a great way to close out the ski season at this mountain that is the heart of the Winter Park community!

Early May C-Lot Party (official closing day of Winter Park Resort)

The Mary Jane side of the resort can stay open a little longer than the Winter Park side, and the C Lot party celebrates Mary Jane’s last day with lifts running: a tradition loved by “weekend warriors” and locals alike. Tailgating and live music in the Utah Junction Lot (aka the C Lot, dubbed for its proximity to the Challenger Lift, or C-chair) abound. Costumes, a festive atmosphere, and slushy bump skiing make this a party worth putting on the calendar!
